Designing for a Low Gravity Environment
When designing for Minimal G, consider the
conditions of the planetolgy especially the gravity. Lower gravity
means easier flight with less power needed to keep aloft. I imagine
ballons would be a cost-effective choice. Less weight means larger
vehicles can be made and less mass to sink into the ground. Boats
would be more bouyant. Hovercraft would be a good choice for any
environment. Walkers would probably need less leg-support strength
to hold up their bodies.
The Miminal G 'Look'
While the story takes place a thousand years
in the future on a distant planet, consider that the planet has
been cut-off from civilization for 100 years and has needed to come
up with most designs out of necessity based on the environment.
Try to keep the look mechanical without a lot of streamlining. The
basic idea is 'form follows function'. Look up "Steam punk"
and combine that with whatever faction you're designing for.
Minimal Technology
Since Trocken was immediately colonizable,
the need for vast amounts of technology used in terraforming were
not imported. All arrivals, people and cargo, first passed through
checks in space then on the few spaceports on the surface. Weapons
were banned except by law enforcement and military personnel. During
the revolution, most large weapons attached to spacecraft were destroyed
along with most of Trockens planetside scientific and manufacturing
facilities. As such, new infrastructure needed to be created from
scratch. A brief "dark ages" occured after the wormhole
collapse while the population rebuilt.
All anti-gravity technology is too large to
fit into anything but large ships. The smallest units are the size
of a large house. Some survived in transport ships that were not
destroyed and other units were scavanged from wreakage.
Since manufacturing facilities to process fuel
needed for rockets were destroyed, rocketry on a vehicle-sized scale
is uncommon. Instead, other forms of propulsion, engine, turbine,
etc, were commonly used.

Summary: Small single seat custom plane used by
a Junker Pirate. The standard armament
is a bottom-mounted tri-barrel gatling gun.

Aircraft Design
Designer: Juliano

CG & Variations: Wingnut
Summary: A small two-seater, high-wing aircraft
developed by the KoH airforce for observation/recon missions inside
their territory. It carries no armament. It´s very silent
and has great flight-autonomy although can only perform day-time
missions as it depends on direct sight equipment.
