Minimal G Timeline AD 2420 - Star M#### found to have planetary system AD 2421 - Second planet in system discovered. Scientists determine that it may be candidate for terraformation. AD 2445 - Unmanned high-speed vessel sent to system to establesh worm-hole path to Earth system. AD 2883 - Vessel arrives in planetary system and begins worm-hole opening. AD 2884 - Worm-hole route to Earth system established and planetological teams dispatched. Teams discovered that the planet, while dry and harsh, already supported life and an Earth-like environment suitable to human-life. While this was one of hundreds of planets deemed suitable for human inhabitation, it was one of only seven that did not require terraformation. Planet is named Trocken meaning "dry" in the old German language. AD 2887 - Colonization of Trocken begins. First major settlement named "Hochebene" established on the nothern part of the "Great Plateau". Due to its harsh climate, Trocken is not a preferred destination for colonists and is used as a dumping ground for civilizations undesireables. The poor, the criminally intent, the huddled masses... AD 2901 - Interplanetary war breaks out and several systems secede from the Planetary Union. Earth begins to lose power and control over colonized worlds and embarks on a campain of terror. Several planets had entire populations wiped out as retaliation. AD 2913 - Trocken secedes from the Planetary Union and declares independence. Interim independent government and military established. Trocken forces lead by former Planetary Union General named Hans Ottila. Forces are made up of former Planetary Union forces and mercenaries. AD 2914 - Large Planetary Union military force dispatched to Trocken to quel revolt by eradicating the entire population. Opening salvo from Planetary Union ships is a surgical missile strike that cripples technology and manufacturing centers. Trocken forces engage Planetary Union forces at entrance to wormhole. Casualties are high on Trocken side and most space-faring vessels are lost in first hours of assault. In a last-ditch effort to keep the remainder of Planetary Union forces at bay, a lone ship detonated it's reactor core inside the wormhole mouth collapsing the mouth and destroying all earth forces within. This action cuts off Trocken from Planetary Union and "civilization" for at least 438 years until another worm-hole vessel arrives. Measures are planned for that event and in the off chance other worm-hole vessels are already on-route. AD 2915 - General Ottila elected leader of Trocken and establishes "the 100 years of peace". Capital city established on Great Plateau in original colony. Populations conditions improve despite being cut-off from Planetary Union supply routes and technology. Native infrastructure and technology is created and flourishes due to Trockens metal-rich geology. Colonies spread throughout northern hemisphere and first colonies are formed in the southern hemisphere. AD 3017 - Upon the death of General Ottila civilization breaks down and in-fighting between colonies begins. The power struggles eventually lead to the formation of seperate city-states and kingdoms with the largest kingdom, the Kingdom of Hochebene controlling the entire "Great Plateau". This Kingdom is peaceful and ruled by General Ottila's son, King Sol Ottila. AD 3047 - The Kingdom of Hochebene has grown strong and rich under the rule of King Sol. Aliances have been formed with most of the northern nations. The colonies to the south, recently allied under the rule of a tyrant leader, Emperor Vorglen, have declared war on the northern nations in a bid to control the rich north and the entire planet. |
