IPMS Three Rivers
Chapter »
Club Website
This is the local modeling
club which I belong to. It is the Three Rivers Chapter
of the International Plastic Modelers Society. The old
website was in need of a redesign to make updates and
communication between club members easier. To accomplish
this I used readily available tools such as WordPress
for the bulk of the site which gives multiple people
the responsibilities for updating the site as opposed
to just one individual, 'Gallery' to give the members
a place to exchange photos of their own modeling work
and from various events, and phpBB Forum which gives
the members a place to converse outside of the monthly
meetings.

Premier Medical
Associates »
Corporate Website
Premier Medical Associates
needed a revised website to replace their old one and
it's outdated information. This was a fairly straightforward
project using mostly CSS and Dreamweaver templates to
build the bulk of the site. This will allow for easy
updating by PMA's staff.

Mechanical Phenomenon
»
Personal Website
Mechanical Phenomenon is
a personal website template I designed for a friend
of mine from England. He wanted a black and gold scheme
and a technological look. He also needed the site to
be easily updatable as he is not a web designer. To
accomplish this I used a mixture of Dreamweaver templates
and CSS. After the site template was designed, I trained
him in the use of his template and on how to maintain
his website on his own via instant messaging. I also
provide support when something breaks or if he has questions.

it. My work can be seen on the home page and the interior

Finleys Fun Centers
»
Company Website
Finley's had an outdated
website which was hard to navigate and was in need of
a change. I designed their new website to have a fun
kid-friendly look and to be easy for parents to find
the information they're looking for. The Flash navigation
give this site a whimsical and fun feel to it.

Mecha Skunk Works
»
Personal Website/Online Store
Another simple site template
that was done for a friend of mine. He wanted to do
the site content himself, but needed a design and a
template. I created a basic site template and custom
graphics that he can use to make changes and new pages
for the website. The Skunk was drawn in Flash and loosly
based off a monkey image he liked.

HR Connections
»
Company Website
Another freelance website
for a division of Kentucky's The Job Shop. With this
site, I was given sample pages designed by the client
depicting what the client wanted. I worked with the
client to clean-up the original design into what is
now their live site. Once the design was finalized,
all images and content were then supplied by the client.

Technical Staffing
Solutions »
Company Website
A freelance project for Kentucky-based
TSS; a staffing company. I was given mostly free reign
over the design of the site and my contact at TSS supplied
me with all of the content and photos for the site.
I worked within their pre-programmed database system
to creat a "skin" to apply to this site giving
it a fresh clean and welcoming look.

Mark Ferry Auctioneers
»
Company Website
I gave this site a new look
which fits their organization. The previous site was
showing its age and beared the scars of inconsistent
updates from many different designers. I made the site
easy to update and gave it the consistency it needed.
This website is an ongoing project for me. The owners
of the site need frequent updates due to their evolving
auction schedule.

PNC Corporation
»
LPA: The Road to Success
LPA is an internal web-based
training piece. It's goal is to train in proper management
techniques. The game-board style was used to add fun
to the otherwise serious content. The people were styled
after game-pieces so that gender and race would not
be an issue in the characters. The whole piece was designed
utilizing Flash 5. Back-end server code was used for
tracking and scoring purposes.

Dealer Access
For PNC's Dealer Access System
training site, I was responsible for the original prototype
design. The design was then handed off to a co-worker
to program and create any additional graphics. The main
design challenge with this site was creating an interface
which resembled an automobile, yet also had enough room
for full size, interactive screen grabs from PNC's DAS
site.

New Employee Orientation
PNC needed a New Employee
Orientation site to train new hires on their policies
and benefits. This was another example of needing a
design idea at the last minute and going back into the
rejected pile to give new purpose to a design. Overall
I like this design. I originally made this layout for
a CD-Rom based piece. Making this design work as a website
called for some HTML magic and a large use of Dreamweaver
layers.

Uniontown Hospital
»
Corporate Website
This website was designed
as a clean, easily updated way for Uniontown Hospital
to give the public information about it's staff and
services. The site is mostly static with a few database
driven sections such as the physicians directory, current
events and the Insight newsletter. A management site
allows Uniontown Hospital access to add and edit their
own site content in these and other sections. After
I designed this site, I was tasked with programming
the dynamic sections utilizing Active Server Pages (ASP).
This was done in Microsoft Visual Interdev using VBScript.
I also constructed the database for this site using
Microsoft Access.

Cash Management University
The Cash Management University
project consisted of a site where courses could be purchased
and accessed, a management site, and about 20 completed
courses. After the initial design of the site, my main
task was creating the many Flash pieces which were included
in the curriculum. Almost every content screen contained
an interactive Flash element. These interactions involved
"Drag and Drop" challenges, mini quizzes,
and rollover/pop-up information.
